Escape from the Convent

Our second Convent stay was a bit more austere than the first. The toilet and shower were both hung on the wall over a bare floor. With no place to hang a shower curtain, we needed the floor squeegee to corral the water into the drain.

We were there on Friday so we weren't surprised that the simple dinner included fish.

The sunset view from our bedroom window was lovely, especially considering how gloomy it was walking there.

Our biggest challenge was finding our way out when it was time to go. The Convent is being renovated and I think we were the only guests in our building. All the obvious exits were locked so we had to sneak out through through the nuns quarters and around the back of the building to make our escape!

We stopped at the local bar for a couple of fresh raisin rolls to sustain us on our long day's walk from Vaylets to Cahors where we hope to take a well deserved rest day.
