Every Village on the Path

We have noticed the following for every  French village we have entered along the Chemin de Compostela.

1. A cross
2. A memorial with names of the young men from the town killed in the Great War 
3. A Catholic church
4. A pilgrim referring to the Miam Miam Dodo book, calling to make a reservation for the next day
