Mutiny on the Way

After a few weeks of walking the contents of Mary's backpack started to get restless.
We first noticed this when a pair of Mary's pants hid under the bed in Moissac. In order to get back to Mary they were driven by Claudine to the Communal Gite in Castet Arrouy.

In many locations where we stayed, our packs were stored on shelves in a common room with all the other backpacks of pilgrims walking along the way. We aren't sure what conversations they had, but with 3 very long rainy days ahead, Mary's pack simply refused to go with her and insisted on making the trip in comfort.

Happily stuffed with everything not needed during the walk, Mary's backpack enjoyed a comfortable dry ride in Claudine's baggage transport. When we finally arrived at our destinations, the pack was well rested and waiting for us.

You see, a nice break is good for anyone, even a backpack!
